Susanne Pierce Maddux

I am an industrial designer based in San Francisco. I started my design journey with a background in visual arts and a BS degree in Industrial Design from the University of The Arts in Philadelphia. I moved to California and joined the Apple industrial design group. I was honored and thrilled to work on a phenomenal portfolio of products with a focus on input devices and blue sky ideation. I then went on to found Ultra design, a consultancy where I designed products for some of the most respected brands in the world including Sony, Nike, and Revo. I’ve started several businesses and launched my own line of products. What drives me today is providing highly executed design solutions for an array of clients and the potential to apply design into our everyday lives through emerging technologies and new materials.

I am looking forward to expanding my design knowledge and being part of the Berkeley community.
