Bio

Hi! I’m Ida, an engineer and event moderator/interviewer, and always on a mission to make tech exciting and inclusive!
I studied Electrical & Electronics Engineering at KNUST in Ghana, and co-founded a startup that helps young Africans (especially girls) dive into the world of robotics, drones, 3D printing, and electronics. I also host a tech-focused show to highlight innovators on the African continent.
During the MDes Program I am looking forward to exploring the makerspace and sharpening my knowledge and skills in emerging technologies specifically AI, UI/UX Design, VR/AR and 3D modeling and Printing.
When I’m not engineering or storytelling, I’m advocating for education (SDG4) and good internet governance to ensure quality education and a safe, free and open internet for all. Oh, and I love to MC events, chill at the beach, or catch a good stage play during my free time.
