Bio

Hi! I’m Meghana Sanjay (or Megzu), a dreamer, designer, and curator from Bengaluru, India. With a background in architecture, my work explores the intersection of design, community, and social impact. I’m passionate about creating inclusive, healing spaces, especially for voices that often go unheard.

During my undergraduate thesis, I explored the social and spatial complexities of a red-light district, which sparked a deeper interest in using design to address stigma and foster equity. Over the last 3 years, I’ve designed interactive exhibits that translate complex ideas into playful, hands-on experiences for diverse audiences, and set up multiple galleries.

My interests lie in participatory design, and rethinking how urban systems can better support communities, while staying deeply rooted in sustainability and care for the natural environment. At Berkeley, I hope to grow as an interdisciplinary thinker, collaborate across cultures and disciplines, and continue using design as a tool to question, connect, and transform both people and places with empathy and ecological responsibility.
