Ahmed Riaz is a design leader working across physical and digital products, with a practice rooted in visual thinking and a passion for creating systems that dissolve into everyday behavior. Trained in industrial design, design for emerging markets, and design strategy, he has spent over two decades leading diverse teams to bring playful concepts to life. Beyond work, he mentors designers toward more inclusive solutions, shares the craft of ideation, and plays Dungeons & Dragons with his two kids.
Prior to teaching at UC Berkeley, he served as Head of Design at Logitech Gaming, leading a global team in the creation of numerous award-winning products that blend performance with play, and as a Creative Director at frog design, where he partnered with a wide range of Fortune 500 clients to shape strategy, interaction, and experience. Across these roles, his work sits at the intersection of craft and creativity, often designing environments that help teams do the best work of their lives and develop products that feel intuitive, human, and fun.
