Bio

Hi, I’m Ajia! I’m a designer, developer, and illustrator born and raised in the SF Bay Area. I received a BA in Cognitive Science and Design Innovation Certificate from UC Berkeley (making me a double bear!). In the last few years, I’ve built expressive and adaptive design systems for startups and created innovative features for large enterprise, e.g. Netflix and Logitech. My focus is in mitigating dark design practices in artificial intelligence by promoting greater technical transparency and implementing more protections for human creativity and privacy. I hope to utilize my multi-disciplinary background to investigate the future of creative practice (e.g. art and design) with emerging artificial intelligence tools. In my spare time, I like to make comics, tend to my family garden, and play indie video games.
