Bio
I’m Carina, and Ching-Wen Lee in Chinese. Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, I moved to Canada at the age of 12. I completed my middle and high school education in Victoria, a picturesque island next to Vancouver, named in honor of Queen Victoria. I pursued a degree in Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design, specializing in both traditional physical and digital product design. I’m deeply interested in exploring the essence of design — its purpose, its audience, and its problem-solving capabilities. I’ve gained extensive experience in design thinking, human-centered design research, problem-solving, and prototyping. In the MDes program, my goal is to refine the skills I already possess while learning innovative techniques and technologies. I aim to leverage these tools to enhance the efficacy of design solutions and encourage deeper thought processes.
