Daling (Darlene) Chen

Bio

Hi! My name is Daling Chen, and you can also call me Darlene. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Architecture at UC Berkeley, with minors in Data Science and Sustainable Design. Through architecture, I’ve honed critical design thinking skills to address societal issues, while data science has equipped me with a more structured and rational approach to problem-solving. I expanded my design thinking to embrace UI/UX design, mastering the human-centered design process.

In the MDes program, I’m interested in blending technology with design and exploring emerging technologies like AR/VR. I’m particularly fascinated by spatial design and reshaping people’s interactions with the environment.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, exploring new places, watercolor painting, and photography.
