David Zhou

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon with pit stops in Shanghai, Berkeley, and NYC. Currently a footwear designer based in Portland trying to solve athlete problems through the lens of a mechanical engineer. I’m passionate about designing better human wearable products for the future. Through MDes, I hope to learn how to integrate computational design and novel sensing technology into my design toolbox.

I am most looking forward to engaging in the studio space with the inaugural cohort. Super excited about the prospect of influencing program culture and identity in meaningful ways.
