Bio

Hi! I’m Divya, an aspiring designer with a background in Materials Science. Prior to MDes, I focused on soft materials research during undergrad and worked in the additive manufacturing industry for several years. I have a broad range of interests, including sustainable design, art and ceramics, biodesign, community-based design, and debating the social and environmental ethics of new technology. During my time at MDes, I’m hoping to focus on nature-derived and inspired technology, novel and sustainable fabrication methods, tangible experiences/interactions, and keeping an open mind to anything else that excites me. In my free time, I love crafting, taking care of my many houseplants, and exploring new places and restaurants.
