Ethan Hong

Bio

Hi! I’m Seung-Wook (Ethan), a user experience designer from Seoul, South Korea, with a foundation in both human-centered design and technology.

I studied Computer Science & Engineering and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) & Design at Seoul National University. Through collaborating with and learning from people with diverse backgrounds, I came to realize that technology can either exclude or empower people depending on how it is designed. This experience sparked my passion for creating technologies and information that are inclusive, accessible, and meaningful for a wide range of users.

Building on this foundation, I am excited to explore emerging technologies such as AI and VR/XR, and to design experiences that make the benefits of these technologies more accessible to diverse communities. I hope to further develop this vision through the MDes program.

Outside of design, I enjoy exploring architecturally inspiring spaces, imagining building concepts, and spending time cycling and hiking.
