Bio
Hi, I’m Evan!
Born and raised in the Bay Area, I’m a multidisciplinary designer grounded in behavioral science, art, and engineering. I started my career in Mechanical Design after receiving a major in Manufacturing and Design Engineering from Northwestern in 2021. Since then, I’ve worked across automotive, architectural, and sustainable energy spaces, where I prototyped with 3D printers, ran product experiments, and supported new product introductions.
While working as an engineer, I became increasingly curious about the behaviors, constraints, and other hidden forces that shape the systems we interact with. That shift led me toward web development, UX/UI, and systems design, where I’ve explored human-centered approaches through digital design work with local community groups.
As an engineer and artist, I see my work as both an exploration and an experiment. I remain in touch with my creative side through illustration, interface design, songwriting, music production, or making and modeling with my 3D Printer. I’m excited to join Berkeley’s MDes program to continue developing at the intersection of technical rigor and creative practice within a cohort of fellow designers.
