Bio

Hello! I’m Freddie from Shanghai, China. I’m a designer specialized in human-computer interaction, woodworking, assistive tech and music tech. I’ve received my undergrad degree of Interactive Media Arts in NYU Shanghai. Recently I’ve been focusing on developing braille keyboards, video-based analog communication device and EMG (Electromyography) haptic, wearable devices. I’ve also started my private custom business of making DIY table tennis rackets. During my undergrad studies, I’ve attempted to build several music devices such as handmade electric guitars, horn speakers, NIME and analog synthesizers. I wish to learn and understand design in a more systematic and critical perspective in Berkeley MDes. In my spare time, I listen to music, play games and table tennis.
