Bio
Hi! My name is Hannah and I was born in Buffalo, NY, but grew up all around the world including South Korea, Singapore, Ghana, and most recently, the Bay Area. I graduated from Stanford University with a bachelors in Psychology and a masters in Sociology. Throughout my time at Stanford, I was able to explore how research-based psychological interventions can create more positive social outcomes. My academic passion for designing interpersonal mediation has thus fueled further interest in designing products and experiences that solve everyday problems not just between humans but more so between humans and technology.
From past experience ranging from quantitative research at a women’s leadership innovation lab to B2C app design at a sound AI startup, I came to understand the manifold power of design. I’m especially driven by how people think, behave, and interact with emerging technologies such as extended reality and artificial general intelligence, and I’m excited to experiment with the unlimited possibilities of these topics through Berkeley MDes.
In addition to design, you can talk to me about food recommendations in the Bay, trends in the fashion industry, and my newfound interest in contemporary pilates.
