Bio

Hi, I’m Ishani! I’m a designer and researcher with a background in industrial design and psychology. I recently graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where I focused on how design can be used to expand access and support underserved communities. I’ve worked on projects ranging from civic tech platforms for unhoused populations to educational tools that make local elections easier to navigate. I’m especially interested in systems design, emerging technologies, and the role of design in public impact. At MDes, I’m excited to sharpen my technical skills, explore design consulting, and collaborate with people who care about designing for equity. In my free time, I love experiencing art in all its forms, creating and consuming circular fashion, discovering new music, and making iced oat lattes 🙂
