Bio

I’m currently a Product Designer at Dropbox where I design for digital product experiences that spark collaboration when people share content. With no design degree or bootcamp experience, I got into design when I started a non-profit for foster youth during my junior year at UCLA. The road of self-studying was exhausting, which is why I’m now a UX/Product Design Coach. I help aspiring designers learn the competitive skills needed to break into a UX/Product design career.

Prior to Dropbox, I worked on construction management software, financial tools, e-commerce, and social media apps. For my volunteer work, I started Bayview YMCA’s first-ever design course by creating the curriculum and mentorship program. I also coached underserved youth in basketball as well as led several pro-bono design projects, such as the website redesign to help Angels Foster Care gain more prospective foster parents.

I joined the MDes program because it’s my goal to pursue social entrepreneurship and social innovation with a focus on underserved youth. My goals are inspired by my childhood roots in foster care, pro-bono design work, and volunteering.

What are you most looking forward to in the MDes program?

I’m looking forward to solving meaty, societal problems with a group of like-minded individuals. I am so energized by being with a group of people who want to change the world for the better. I’m also looking to networking with other entrepreneurs and changemakers. In short, I’m looking forward to networking.
