Bio

Hello!! I’m Navya, a creative technologist. I studied CS in undergrad and worked as a software engineer and product designer at an AI-driven healthcare startup after graduating. Although I loved the engineering and my team, I found myself being pulled toward a more creative application of those same skills. In attending conferences, hackathons, and (an absurd amount of) networking, I discovered the niche field of creative technology, which led me to this program.

I’ve since developed a passion for integrating computing into physical spaces, compared to software existing flat on a screen like traditional software engineering. I want to move towards a seamless and tasteful integration of tech in creative fields like fashion, music, and art. My main goals with this program and my career are to find ways to push the boundaries of what “Technology” actually means, instead of operating within its existing definition. I’m excited to use my technical background and passion for art to grow as a creative and software engineer throughout this experience!
