Bio
Hi, I am an Empathetic Engineer, Researcher, Designer, and Creative Problem-Solver who likes to work at the convergence of technology, design, sustainability, and society.
After graduating in Engineering Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, in 2019, I went on to join the design team at Havells India Ltd. My work in Havells involved working with a diverse group of designers, engineers, consumer researchers, and marketing professionals to design a range of electrical household consumer durables for Indian consumers.
I imagine a world where it is not humans against the environment but a place where we integrate and move closer to being more connected to nature. My work is driven by a curiosity towards everything I encounter and an attempt to understand it as deeply as I can, to provide intuitive, meaningful, inclusive, and not-so-complex solutions to the complex problems we face today.
What are you most looking forward to in the MDes program?
I look forward to collaborating with an amazing bunch of designers and learning from their own understanding of designing a better future. Also, learning from the professors at UC Berkeley will be a great asset for me in my design journey. I look forward to immersing myself in the rich design community in the Bay area and contributing to the transformation it has been creating through design.
