Bio

Hi, I’m Ray.

I studied Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design and am now part of the Berkeley MDes program. I’m generally interested in physical products, mechanical systems, and understanding how things work. Whether it’s a robot, a vehicle, a transit system, or an everyday object, I tend to get curious about the engineering, constraints, and tradeoffs behind it. My work has spanned mobility concepts, interactive systems, research prototypes, and hands-on engineering projects, often involving CAD, prototyping, fabrication, and testing.

Beyond my project work, I often find myself thinking about car modifications, driving finesse, transportation systems, and city planning. I enjoy critiquing vehicle design and arguing for the value of manual transmissions as a form of driver engagement. Separately, I have a habit of giving feedback on outfits, posing, and candid photography.
