Ryanne Plaisance

Bio

Hi! I’m Ryanne. I’ve spent the past decade founding and leading an innovative K–8 school built around project-based learning, social-emotional learning, and global education.

I’m invested in creating opportunities that connect people to their communities and encourage them to engage with perspectives different from their own. During the MDes program, I hope to explore how emerging technologies, physical products, and interactive experiences can make learning more engaging. Long term, I hope to design tools that expand educational opportunities and inspire curiosity in learners of all ages.

Outside of work, I love traveling with my husband and kids, going to the theater, playing sports, and getting lost in a good book. I’m excited to learn alongside people who are driven to tackle difficult problems and design solutions that make a lasting difference.
