Bio
Hi, I am Sabhya Arora, a multidisciplinary problem solver. My professional journey spans corporates, startups, and government projects, letting me envision the big picture while learning to handle the details that bring it to life on a blank canvas. You could call me an engineer, a strategist, or a designer; I prefer calling myself an explorer. Through UC Berkeley’s MDes program I hope to explore the nexus of creativity, leadership, and technology.
So far I have led development of a six-wheel Mars-rover prototype, helped establish India’s first drone-based emergency-supply network, and earned a Government of India and Meta XR Grand Challenge grant for an extended-reality concept in waste management. Serving as the Chief of Staff at a product-design studio refined my ability to guide ideas from sketch to production.
When I’m not working, I’m on the road. I’ve travelled through 20 of India’s 36 states and union territories and dream of building a camper van to explore new countries, sampling street food along the way. A cause that’s close to me is creating scalable solutions for the well-being of India’s massive stray dogs and cat population.
