Bio

Hi! I’m Samyukta, an aspiring designer-engineer-creative technologist trying to analyze and solve the complex wicked problems around us.

With a bachelors degree in Design, I spent the last year and a half as a User Experience Analyst at Deloitte India building full-scale digital platforms for clients across industries such as insurance, commercial auto finance, procurement management, retail and AdTech. So, making, building and bringing products/services to life is where I’m the happiest.

At MDes, I’m interested in exploring how emerging technologies can augment the design process and redefine the systems that we inhabit. I’m especially drawn to designing interventions that address systemic socio-economic and environmental challenges, reimagining the ways in which we live, work, and care for both people and the planet in a rapidly changing world. To me, it’s about using design as a tool for equity, resilience and transition, especially in spaces that are often excluded from such progress. I hope to continue building on this inquiry through the program.

In my spare time, you will find me playing tennis, reading a good book or looking at samples under my DIY microscope!
