Saoumya Mandhar

Bio

Hi, I’m Saoumya! I’m a designer with a background in enterprise software, entrepreneurship, and storytelling.
With a bachelor’s degree in Design, I’ve spent four years working as a UI/UX Designer at Ericsson, designing data-dense dashboards and sales tools for enterprise telecom systems.
I’m happiest when I can make complex systems make sense, for the people inside them and the people affected by them, by using design and participatory practices.
At Berkeley, I hope to experiment intentionally and empathetically. I’m excited to get hands-on with data, AI, and immersive technologies, and to explore what role design plays in innovation as new systems get built.
In my spare time, you’ll usually find me jumping into whatever creative medium catches my attention next: a new art style, a classic movie, a half-finished journal entry, or a book I’m three chapters into!
