Bio

I am a designer and an engineer with a pursuit to work for inclusivity and affordability. Having personal connotation to physical challenges, empathy comes naturally to me. I am super charged to explore more on emerging technologies and bridge the disability divide guided by human centric approach.

I graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Before joining UC Berkeley, I worked at NXP Semiconductors where I was a part of backend physical design team. I worked on 5nm and 16nm FinFET technology to design chips for automotive industry. Along with all the technical acumen, it provided me an initial exposure to design.

I am from Gujarat, India, where having a sweet tooth is in our blood. But I do have my spicy food days and am always up for trying new cuisines. I love listening to music and feel that each chord strikes a different emotion. I tune my creativity on piano, gush my adrenaline exploring places, connecting with people or jumping around playing outdoor sports.

What are you most looking forward to in the MDes program?

I am extremely excited to meet such a diverse cohort at MDes. I spiritedly await to spend hours at the studio, learning to operate the cool machines and brainstorming dozens of stupid, funny, innovative, and creative ideas from all the unique minds to build impactful designs!
