Bio
Hi, I’m Lenox! The five years of study in Architecture made me form a design philosophy that a great design work is a balanced integration of artistic sensibility and scientific method. I’m currently chasing the role of design engineer and continue to explore other roles that a trained designer may take in the future. What drives me is a keen interest in the connection of people in the physical environment and cyberworld. As decentralized infrastructure gets better and better, I’m looking forward to what new connections will emerge and what I can do in the future. Since the world is changing so fast, I don’t want to limit myself to one specific position. I want to keep an open mind to new things and try more when I’m young. For me, it’s more important to find out what I don’t like rather than what I do like. For now, my vision is to take advantage of cross-disciplinary design thinking to translate fragmented insights into cohesive products, services and systems for social design with real impact.
What are you most looking forward to in the MDes program?
I’m so excited to study at the center of technology innovation. I love this saying: “The computer is just another tool. It’s like a pen. You have to have a pen, and to know penmanship, but neither will write the book for you”. I look forward to more experimental design practice with the creative cohort. And learn how to “write great books” inspired by emerging technologies.
