Bio

Hi! I’m Vivian. Before starting the MDes program, I studied Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design, where I earned my degree specializing in medical products and services design. My focus has been on employing game-based strategies to create better user experiences and facilitate at-home medical treatments. This approach not only enhances patient engagement but also makes healthcare more accessible and enjoyable.

During my time at MDes, I hope to delve deeper into technologies that lower the barriers to medical care, making it possible to effectively treat and prevent diseases in home or everyday environments. I am particularly interested in innovations that democratize healthcare and improve overall well-being. Additionally, I’m excited to explore new territories, such as bio-material fabrication and aviation technologies, to broaden my expertise and apply design thinking in diverse fields.

When I’m not working on my design projects, I love watching movies (lots of them!), playing escape rooms with friends, and cooking for them! Maybe you can join me on my movie night~ 😊
