Bio
I’m Yilin from Beijing. I major in architecture and minor in business administration. I like calligraphy, shuttlecock and hiking. I’m also obsessed with going to live music houses and trying snow sculpture and everything new and interesting. After completing several studies during my undergraduate years, I found that I had a great passion for the resonance of health, design, and technology, and was eager to help more people get access to life-changing design, especially in the fields of future health and VR/AR/MR. In the past, I used to imagine a world without disease and war, without vagrants and lonely old people. Therefore, now I pay more attention to the spiritual needs of different groups of people and the connection between disadvantaged groups and new technologies. I hope to have the opportunity to learn more about virtual and augmented reality, wearable computing, and other technical fields, to provide healthier lives for people and improve the well-being of the people in society who are gradually stepping out of the spotlight.
What are you most looking forward to in the MDes program?
I am most looking forward to working with students from different disciplines and backgrounds, listening to each other’s ideas and learning about technology and design together. I am very happy to study and live together with you! It’s like another fun adventure and trip in life. I hope we have a wonderful time in the MDes program! 🙂
