Bio

Hi, I’m Yuwen! I’m a designer and maker exploring the intersection of living materials, wearable systems, and human perception. I hold a BA in Costume Design from University of the Arts London (UAL)。
My work sits at the edges of disciplines — between biology and electronics, between craft and computation, between the body and its environment. I’ve built wearable projects drawing from biomimicry and biosensing。
I’m drawn to a simple but stubborn question: what happens when the things we wear — or live with — can sense, respond, and adapt? I believe the most interesting answers live somewhere between material experimentation and interaction design.
At Berkeley, I hope to push this further — exploring how AI and the body can meet in ways that feel less like products and more like extensions of the self.
Outside the studio, I like vibe coding small experiments,, and asking “what will the ecosystem will be between Ai and human ?”
