Zixun Huang (Sean)

Bio

Hi, this is Zixun, a designer and engineer. My research interests revolve around novel strategies that potentially affect how society divides labor and allocates resources, such as Robotic Fabrication, Mass Customization, and ML-based Urban Planning.

I’ve been mostly focused on using industrial robotic arms and programming to reconfigure production methods, as well as assessing them through data analysis. My work output takes the form of experimental furniture, architectural installations, web-based applications.

In addition to being a researcher and teaching assistant at universities and international forums, I’m a SDE who has assisted multiple startup teams in developing their product prototypes, ranging from production customization platforms to design evaluation tools, recently being about to help a team build their dapp.

What are you most looking forward to in the MDes program?

Learning from each other and achieving projects in more interdisciplinary areas, such as Web 3.0, AR/MR, AIoT and Tangible Media.👾 Methodologies for evaluating products from a sociological or business perspective.👾 Further enhancing my expertise in software engineering.👾
