Bio

I studied painting and Visual Communication Design at Hongik University, South Korea.
I have been working as a visual merchandiser at Chanel Korea and Samsung Shilla duty-free shop for about 5 years. I am in charge of designing customer experiences in an offline store and making a design strategy for customers to enhance their quality of shopping experience. I have various experiences in UX/CX research, design strategy, and project management. I learn how to have a solid grasp of visual language that provokes a user’s intuitive feelings.

I want to develop a platform for more inclusive and accessible experience opportunities.
I will build it through Physital[Physical+Digital] environment, integration of an digital environment and tangible materials. So, it will map out people’s experiences within the digital and physical worlds.
This complementary system will resolve the current issues of virtual environment – the lack of tactile experience, eye contact, subtle facial expressions, and gestures.
I can say-it- is a form of eXtended Reality. My ultimate goal is to create interactive content that focuses on all five senses to bring positive changes in our society. I hope to find a touchpoint between physical and digital, where the virtues-of-both are interwoven.

What are you most looking forward to in the MDes program?

I am looking forward to learn how to sophisticatedly map out people’s experiences within the tangible and intangible realm throughout the Mdes education.
